Paulack… a family run business since 1976 that has developed a knowledge of the furniture industry over the last 40 years. Our focused team strives to succeed on a common range of values. Below is a brief outline of our business and how it has developed.
1976 – Father and son start a business named ‘Paulack’ which evolved in Wellington crafting occasional furniture from mahoganys and milled New Zealand rimu. From this date right onto 2001 the manufacturing plant grew employing a large range of people, supplying major furniture retailers in New Zealand and Australia and creating a recognised brand in the market.
Within this time period various mediums changed throughout the eras to meet the latest trends of time. A variety of the very best natural timbers, hardwoods, brass, ceramics and glass were used to create the pieces with design and function.
2001– Importing furniture sourced globally started while still manufacturing. There became shortages of the levels of rimu required to maintain full production levels. This created pressure to maintain jobs for all employees while still supporting charities e.g Life flight trust etc.
2003 – Paulack moved on. A new warehouse was created. From this time on the buying committee from Paulack has been to many international furniture exhibitions worldwide ensuring we keep up to date with the world of furniture design fashion. Right up to today our outlook is forever broadening. We focus on solutions to our customers’ requirements with products that have a variety of products created from different mediums, which are unique and innovative.
